Been laminated for 25 years

 

That was before E-Verify was implemented. It's not illegal to laminate it, but some companies won't accept it and that's their company policy. Laminate can obscure security features. I warn new drivers just heading to their first company about this and advise them to check first so they don't get sent home. Yes, some have been sent home until they get a new card and have posted on here about it.

My company sent people to get a new one because their card was laminated. I dare you to argue with the company you are trying to get hired on with.

go to your next job and just bring a passport instead of a drivers license and ss card gurannteed you are told to come back with them
