Lol, my trailer got hit last night, too. I'm legally parked on the end of a row, nosed in. Other guy cut the corner too tight, his trailer got my ICC bumper. Scared the crap out of me, I was asleep.

    rachi and NavigatorWife Thank this.

So if you are parked not in a designated parking spot and somebody damages your equipment, can't they just plead not guilty?

Insurance won't likely pay out on it, since they would deem it negligence. Can't just park your BMW out on the freeway if you're behind on the payments, and hope gap insurance pays it off...

I won't park on the ends.

Ya know one of the Smith System keys is " Get the big picture."

Depending on the situation, there's lots of place where I head in, figure let some clown chew on those steel corners & ICC bumper of the trailer.

This was at a small T/A in Ohio. This was dudes 3 month old ProStar, blasted by some Hindu from Canada that parked next to him, when the Hindu left. And he wasn't going to stop he had to be chased down.
This stop has the angled lines, this is an example of nosing in is better, just because of this, and its just as easy to back out when you leave.

Only time I ever parked on a end was in a corner. Granted I made the mistake of backing in 5 feet further so I could get to a quieter side of the reefer next to me. The fellow whom parked on the other end of the corner left his nose protruding infront of my spot.

He politely moved when my 34 was up. No complications.

I've had to wake guys up to get out, usually in the middle, have to get em to back up a little. Never had a problem. I apologize for waking them, but I think everyone understands it is what it is.
Guys please wake me if you need me to move so you can get out lol.

The TA in Ontario is a #### show at the end of the day. When I deliver in LA and have to park there, I never take an empty--just bobtail there. Otherwise it's almost impossible to find a designated parking spot.
