Schneider brokers out loads to 3rd party carriers, sometimes power only pulling the pumpkin wagon.

No problem. I don't know if I would recommend anyone go to the power only side of Schneider. From one of the drivers that I know from here who is on the choice program but has his own authority, he was looking into the power only side and the freight is the left overs of the left overs that the IC's don't take. You're better off going through the brokerage side with your own trailer.

So a lot of brokers won't even talk to you if your authority had been active for less than 6 months. Active means fmcsa has granted you the authority and you have met all the insurance requirements to activate the authority. Brokers want to see that you can make it past the first 60 day issues and maintain a company that can survive past the 6 month period. Most new authorities are closed within the first 6 months of not 9 months because they weren't financially ready and couldn't deal with the 30-45 days it took to get paid after a load or the high first year insurance costs. So a lot of brokers don't want you to run there loads and end up stealing the load to cover your business.

Bro, look, read the papers.....it's an absolute buyers market for class 8 trucks.....they can't give them away. Find something you like, test it out, and tell them to take 10 grand off the price, and you'll have a truck. Trust me.....honest. Plus, there's a bunch of trucks out there with loooooooowwww miles.
Shop around and I'll bet you'll find a deal waaaaaay better than Schneider......and a more pleasing color as well.
