Well I didn't think it would come to this, but from what I have read so far I am not as skeptical as I once was. I am applying to Werner. I have read some of Firefighter02's posts and seems like he did pretty well there (although I haven't gotten to the end of the thread). I am trying to stay positive, I know Werner has a reputation of being one of the least favorite companies being a mega carrier and all, but from what I have read it sounds better than where I am now. I am coming into this with a Class A, endorsements, and a plan. I am going into this with the whole intention of saving up money and gaining experience. The money might not be that great, at least at first but its better than no pay check (where I am now), and a year or so of good experience will put me in the running for a lot of other good opportunities if I want them.
So I would like to hear from any recent drivers who are running out of the Phx terminal. Would like to know how training is going/went? If you have your truck tell me about it, what accounts have been offered to you and what did you choose? Home time, pay, and anything else that you'd like to share. You can post here or PM me.
New Werner drivers in Phoenix?

Thanks, I know the job is tough and I have been down this road before but at this point I don't have any other options so I just have to make it work.

Just got done talking with the recruiter, gave him some of that he needed for my background and employment checks. Pre-hired and scheduled for orientation next Wed. They have me lined up for a weekly run between Phx and Fontana, says it pays about 650 a week. We'll see what happens when I get done with the trainer.

I did well with Werner, but I was dedicated. If they had something i can plug my gaming laptop and a fridge in to, i would of stayed.
