Kevin Rutherfrauds $200000 Signature glider truck has complete engine failure!!!

Did he build it? I was under the impression he only did the engine install. The truck was delivered to him after being purchased by jeff through kr.

 

Here's how I see it. This truck was the creation of two people, Kevin and Bruce. Bruce put the thing together, with products that were supposed to be there, that weren't, and others that were a complete failure. He also put his own program in the ecm, which, IIRC, wasn't all that great, and he and others played with that to try and dial the truck in.

The whole clamp thing is dumb, the driver (owner) of the truck should have had a spare and just changed it, not like it's something hard to do, hell, you wouldn't even get dirty or sweaty doing it. On the other hand, being as he was not that capable, apparently, Bruce should have taken care of it.

I've never been a fan of Bruce, or his shop, something about the guy just doesn't sit well with me. If my truck broke down in front of his shop, I'd call a wrecker to take it someplace else.

 

I agree Oscar. This attempt at rehabilitating Bruce's reputation is transparent and absurd. The guy's a scam artist from the word go. what he did for mechanical engines doesn't translate to what he's done the last ten years. There are numerous forums where his crooked ways are thoroughly discussed. He does an engine for a $200,000 truck and is mad about a $120 bill for an exhaust clamp? Never mind he didn't install the microblued parts he charged thousands for. He was smart enough to know that the benefits of microblue were dubious at best, but is suddenly shocked when his customer can't perform simple repairs...
What a crock.

Bruce was delivered a complete running truck with a brand new Fitzgerald remanufactured running gear and engine.

Bruce chose to tear it all down , engine ,tranny and differentials and Micro Blue them all along with doing his Secret modifications to the engine .

Upon the next engine builder taking over the job for PP , because PP refused to do anything for Jeff , they discovered that there had been no signs of Micro Blue anywhere in the application.

Explain that.

Call Bruce .

Ask him this specific question .

Why was no Micro Blue evident in the Signature Truck motor that he specifically tore down to apply the Micro Blue.

 

And why did the crank look like it had sand in the bearings.

 

I think the condition of the crank happened fron the engine being lugged.

The owners were encouraged to keep the rpms down to keep the milage up.

I think the combination of the lugging and the poor cooling resulting from the Evans may have contributed to the Scarring on the crank.

But I could be wrong . I Once was before but I don't remember when .

 

If this is true, and Jeff was charged for it, why hasn't he hired an attorney and taken them to court? The absence of a lawsuit makes me believe there is a lot more to the story than jeff is letting on. Heck you wouldn't even need a lawyer, an invoice and a mechanic stating they dropped the bearings and no micro blue. As simple a case as there is.

Edit to add: seriously think about it. If this was you, wouldn't you file a lawsuit? I certainly would without a moments hesitation. I don't sweat the small stuff but tearing an engine tranny and rear ends down to microblue has got to be in the neighborhood of thirty grand. I sweat thirty grand.

 

Off topic here: Sand can enter the engine in many ways. As simple as forgetting to put the fill cap back on or a small tear in the air filter can ruin an engine. Even a good air filter allows some sand in if you run in dusty job sites. This alone is why am oil sample schedule is very important.

I followed this build while it was happening. The truck came directly from Kenworth, not Fitzgerald. The engine was a crate motor from Detroit, not Fitz.

PP knocked it down and had bearings and whatever else microblued, then reassembled, apparently without the microblued bearings.
