Might not of been me? I don't remember talking to anyone really, except Higgins at the window. Then again, I'd taken a migraine pill so I was a little out of it.
KD5AXG Thanks this. -
When you planned the trip did it look doable? Did you hit something along the way?
Just looking to see if there was something we can help you with.4mer trucker Thanks this. -
I had a rare plan prior to unload yesterday. Drop and hook in Harrisburg, NC to drop in Hopewell, Va. The load info said I could deliver here between 3pm yesterday and 8am this morning. Got here at 0630 to learn that the warehouse doesn't open until 0700. Which is where I am now, awaiting instructions. Drop, but no hook. Bobtail, as this location has no MT's available. So, to the yard? HP? Sabra? Currently have 1900 miles this week. Will I get to break 2500? Not holding my breath. It's still too early for a dispatch. Have to wait another 30 min.
Yea, I know. It's all my fault. -
It was at the window. 16xx volvo, right?. You were parked next to me.

Just eastern traffic and city drivers. I was a just a few minutes from making it last night, just to hit traffic due to a disabled semi in a construction zone, then the I-85 lane shifts, getting stuck behind a Swift truck that was very scared of the zone. I might have been able to fudge it here, but by that time, I was out of driving hours. Still an hour and 20 minutes out. So, I had to stop. Averaged 59 mph yesterday. Elogs SUCK!!!!!!!

@MidWest_MacDaddy ; I was there and saw a lot of green trucks. Got Bobtailed out 4 hrs later. I'm sitting in Belvedere, IL waiting for a load. Just need another 160 miles before Sat night to break 6000.

As I sit and watch another Abilene driver drop and hook.

Might sound weird, but I am kinda missing running on I-95. I don't think it is all that bad. Since leaving John's truck I've had my ups and downs but all in all this is a pretty cool gig. My wife gets a lot of my whining so she might think I feel differently. In the end I am getting miles, feeding the family and conquering challenges. There is a lot of wasted time sitting around in undesirable locations but taken in stride you can use that time. I prefer to get in some Infantry standard push-ups!
Of coarse Maybe I'm just feeling excellent at the moment thanks to a much needed shower, coffee and some GNR blasting on the radio.MidWest_MacDaddy, RebelChick and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
Well stink; next load doesn't deliver till Monday. Maybe next time on that 6. Y'all be safe.
Redtwin and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
