A lot of local managers desperately need drivers but whenever they send an application up to corporate safety it gets sent back as unhirable for all kinds of reasons. The drivers they have now are being worked to death just to keep operations going. Off the top of my head I can name three good paying outfits that needs "qualified" drivers. They are on that list that Cali Kid gave you.
    Good luck.

Seeing as they haul for alot of different refinerys you will stay busy that's for shure. We have some ex cox drivers and they said the work was always available.

The best tanker outfit in SoCal. Mainly O/O company but they on ocassion have a company truck available or a O/O that needs a driver.

Just shot them an email, asking if they have any positions available. I'll call them Monday. So if I understand correctly, they do bulk caustic and all that right?

Although they do caustic soda and other chemicals their mainstay was always hydrocaron solvents. They also used to do some work for NALCO, don't know if they still do or not.

This month a buddy of mine got an offer from one of those outfits. They were willing work with him to bring him in. But he has over a decade of proven safe tanker experience.
I say take the first opportunity you can get and move on from there.
