so lately but more persistently when I'm coming down a hill and engage my jake brake the truck starts to rattle or shake. I can't figure it out nothing is broke or loose. Any ideas before I bring it to mack

Check the u-joints on the drive shaft, and the yokes. If there loose they can make the truck shake pretty good.

If it's only with jake on,bad solenoid,wiring issue or valve train.
If it does it with jakes off,and only on down hill,I'd guess leveling valve. -
Only when the jake is on. And at first nothing but when the name really wants to work it then starts doing it

When was last time overhead was adjusted?
You can cycle thru the stages to rule out wiring -
I'm going to guess and say never only has 251,000 on it

Not sure what Mack recommends, but that's twice what I like to run one.
