Anyone here listen to Rutherford?

Snake Oil Salesman Deluxe. He is the by God expert on all things trucking no matter what you ask him about.
And if he doesnt have money invested in Pittsburg Power he should as much as he pushes them.

 

I figured after that glider fiasco, he'd be done. But he switched gears right after that and became health guru. And I actually started to try some of what he recommends. And it seems to actually work

 

Kinda like Oprah and Dr Phil.

 

I used to listen to KR quite a bit when I was otr. You can learn a lot from him about running a truck...especially if you're a new o/o. You do have to be able to seperate the common sense advice from the sales pitch though.

You can't really blame KR for promoting products. That's how he makes a living. I do believe that he goes overboard on some of the new untested stuff. I think the timeframe from "testing" a new product to full on marketing and promotion might be influenced a little bit too much by the amount of dollars inserted into his pocket.

I always listened, tried to pick up on the common sense advice and ignore the marketing.

I try to listen to the channel from time to time, but the incredible amount of commercials makes it feel like terrestrial radio. There was some discussion they had recently that I tried to call in about, after sitting on hold for 45 minutes I gave up. It's pretty much gab, gab, gab...commercial......caller......commercial......caller.....commercial.

 

Why didn't you say in the opening post that you didn't want to hear anything from any naysayers? I would have respected your wish.
