Hello all,
I wanted to pick the brains of tge experienced posters here.
I am looking into buying a truck. Are there enough decent paying "Power only" loads out there?
I would prefer not to have my own trailer, at least for a little while.
Thanks!

Dominick253 and jordonhasabeard Thank this. -
Most of the companies you can lease to provide trailers.

From loadboards and brokers lots of really cheap power only. For me power only is something I might take on when I'm at the house and someone is willing to pay top dollar. And I never do recovery loads from broken down trucks not knowing what sort of junk the load might be on. That is also a risk even with other power only. You don't always know what shape the equipment is in unless you're moving new stuff.
ChromeNut, Dominick253, redoctober83 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Lets see... in my area.........Origin: San Diego
Dest: Stockton
Power Only 28ft 15K lbs
2.17 spot + 0.22 FSC= 2.39 to the truck -
Fontana to Lodi PO pulling a 53 dry van
2.14 spot +.022=2.36
and that one is Nationwide Log.
But keep in mind thats in my area, yours may be different -
Cardinal/Greatwide is power only.

This one just paid 3 bucks a mile @ 1800 miles.
ChromeNut Thanks this. -
Does anyone know if there is a strict driving experience requirement for these companies?
I would be a new O/O after 3 months of experience.
