Mexican Truck drivers

I will inform the members here right now that this talk of burning trucks and that kinda crap ain't gonna fly here! I have banned one member here for this and will do so again. how does that make our forum look? this is America not Iran! If you feel you need to post that kinda crap then go find your self a terrorist forum!

I dont know alot about how things work in Mexico, (besides free booze at the resorts) but here in Canada, and specifically in Quebec, I defy anybody to show me a truckstop where you will not be served in English. As much as Quebec would like to be totally cut off from anyone but France they do realize that the only thing that overides French is a colour...................GREEN as in the colour of money!

 

I could really care less if someone can't speak English or not but, they should be able to read it, especially reading a "school zone speed limit 25 ahead" sign after they just come off an interstate doing 70 mph.

They should also know how to read street signs and know what they mean. If they can't comprehend, then they shouldn't cross the boarder.

And the same go's for us...

 

well ingles sin barreras has become available to Mexican truckers and they go through alot of stuff to even cross the border to drop and hook and im Mexican and well i think theres alot of Mexican truckers here as citizens why be mean when there apart of the road except if there swift but they drive better than swift my father is a Mexican he learned his English well enough to get a job and getting his dispatch were very happy for him ive helped him along the way almost every step of the way please dont be mean to Mexican truckers there just here trying to make there wage and support there families so don't be mean to Mexican truckers we think you guys are crazy but all of us are crazy on these roads so please dont stero type Mexicans saying they need to know English they will get around just like when some of you guys started trucking

I have no problem with anyone trying to make a living in this country as long as they are LEGAL. I as an American citizen can not do what Mexicans say can do and have dual citizenship. I can't go to Mexico and work there legally (as of yet, without jumping through some major hoops), I can't buy property there and expect to hold on to that property without being seized by the Mexican government at anytime.
If I had the opportunity to live and work in Mexico, I would do so legally and not sneak in. I would learn the language and in effect become Mexican myself. I wouldn't be flying the US flag out of respect for my new country and I sure as Hell wouldn't tell my children that they will always be "American" no matter how far the linage goes.
Our moronic government officials in effect kissed the azzes of Mexico and its people to allow them "Work the jobs that Americans don't want to do". Last time I checked, there are a lot of Americans who want to become drivers and have enough sense not to drive more than the HOS allow and they have enough sense not to work for peanuts either.

 

btw I speak some German, a little (very little) Swedish, and some Spanish (all the years in construction) so it's not like I am an English "snob".

When you go to a country other than just as a guest, you need to become part of the culture.
Nothing irritates me more than seeing someone protesting and complaining that America discriminates because we require them to speak our language. For Pete's sake, we are the only country to my knowledge that basically hands "A Living" out to immigrants now. When my great-grandfather came here from Germany, it was learn the language or go back to Deutschland.
