    Sorry, but how is anyone supposed to believe anything from you after those F1 transmission "facts" you posted earlier? I thought we'd heard the last of you after the true gear heads outed you as a fraud. Come on son....seriously. You're also a self proclaimed tech freak and Engineer. If you're a PEng, why are you driving a company truck? What type of Eng, what school and graduating class?

    There ok but pose safety issues and cant keep up like a stick can in city traffic when needed.Sad part is most major carriers are switching over to them, I've herd sticks are special order now. Carriers are saying its for fuel mileage but i'm thinking driver recruitment purposes?

    Lol yeah and to really blow your mind I have flown a navel trainer too, and wow now I drive a truck. First some of you judge way to much, I like driving trucks and I'm retired so now I get to do something that pays less than being a marketing guy, but that is less stressful and way more enjoyable (well not when I'm waiting for lumpers but that's another topic)

    One of us has worked with F1 teams so hey if you think you know more than me feel free to PM and we can debate, why bore others here.

    There's even a Medical Doctor out there driving a reefer and loving it, dude open your mind and enjoy the debate...oh and maybe take a gander at the F1 Technical website...

    Gearheads, like building projects myself and look forward to finding a truck hopefully in the next couple of years to build...and yeah it will have hopefully an 18 man box...unless I win the lottery of course :)

    Yeah most companies set the transmissions up for economy and they are slow as molasses on a cold Vermont day off the line, even shifting manually - definitely one of the drawbacks.

    Your recall is incorrect... I used the term "Buggy Whip Holder" and only after certain people started spewing the "dumbed down for steering wheel holders" type comments and how certain drivers are just automatically better because they have a stick in their right hand 24/7.

    I even said I support those that prefer the manual over auto if they simply stated why... It's when they start passing out judgement on anyone that prefers something different than they do and insult anyone and everyone simply because of the truck they drive.

    Ohhhh I see, now you've worked for an F1 team. But you don't even know they use a trans from a Minneapolis Moline LOL. My goodness, Ok Lux.

    First, you shouldn't claim to be an Engineer if you're not.
    Second, you've had a CDL for about a year. You aint qualified to make any judgements about transmissions. Why is it the less experience people have the more they know.
