Bought my most recent truck from Werner. 460k miles. DD15 455hp. Since then I've had to get a complete emissions rebuild (SCR 1-box, other DEF components), and a complete inframe. The only reason I still kept it after that is because the truck is in DD warranty until 600k.

Bought my most recent truck from Werner at 460k. DD15, 455hp. Since then, I've had a complete emissions overhaul (new SCR/1-box, new DPFs, new lines, etc) and a complete inframe (new fuel system basically). The only reason I kept it around is because its in DD warranty until 600k.

You guys will never learn.............
These Megas Treat these trucks poorly -40-50k between services....
They are a bad image for maintaining vehicles...Their Mindset is "Servicing the Customer" So their Profits are achieved quarterly... -
I would never buy a truck from a mega carrier or a lease outfit. My company leases from Ryder and they've extended the PM interval to 40,000 miles now lol. That's about twice as long as I would let it go.
-
With my most recent truck, Freightliner and Detroit Diesel both told me the PM interval on the DD15 engines is between 40k-50k. I usually aim for 35k, but is this due to the engine itself or...?
-
Detroit or any manufacturer can tell me the recommended service interval but that doesn't mean I have to follow it or like it. I used to do my pm's around every 10k, maybe that's because I am used to old engines but I wouldn't go past 20 if that.Singh115 Thanks this.
