Some were raised to be supertrucker but they weren't born that way....

We all had to learn, even ol hands are having tough days sometimes.

    Good luck!

Yeah, don't feel bad. Everyone's backing leaves a little to be desired! Just look how many threads there are about it. I say, just keep all your paint pretty and you're golden. Pull ups never hurt anything.

But it does feel oh so good when I see someone killing themselves with 10+ pull ups trying to get into a spot in a truck stop and finally giving up. And then coming in behind them and getting in there in 30 seconds.

Must be something with the gravitational pull out of whack because it happened to me this morning. Backing into an easy spot about 35 degrees. Got too close to the near truck and tried and tried to work it but my trailer kept getting closer and closer to the point I couldn't go forward and couldn't go back. Ten thousanths of a millimeter space between my tire and his bumper. I knocked and knocked on his door, he finally got up and looked with his flashlight, said thanks for waking me up then he backed up a foot and I fixed it.

I've got to give a shout out to a pumpkin driver though today.

Pumpkin driver that was at the Pilot in Inver Grove Heights, MN at around 9 or 10 this morning (just off the State HWY 52) that backed in to a end of the row spot between a pole and something else.

Buddy, if you are a member of this website I want to say GOOD JOB, DRIVER! You knew what you were doing and used all the space available. I was impressed because I watched two other drivers botch that one up. When you did it, it was smooth like butter! It was beautiful to watch!

Sounds like me last week trying to park empty straight trailers.

The week before, I'm parking loaded B-trains perfectly straight, in the spot on the first try.

    I don't get it.

Glad it isn't just me. :)

But my thought is, one pull up or 15 pull ups... As long as I don't hit anything it was a successful back.

I was a carpenter and painter for 30+ years. I still hit my thumb once in a while with the hammer, or some days with the skilsaw couldn't follow the line or couldnt paint a window without hitting the glass like an amateur...

What used to get me was leaving the truck ####ed slight sideways towards the drivers side after a backing move. For some reason it took forever for me to hammer out what the trailer was supposed to look like in the mirrors when the truck was perfectly straight with it.

Same thing goes for parking spots at the truck stop.

Did Super Valu and the union get anything settled?

Yep, ratified the contract overwhelmingly on June 26. Fair deal for both sides, thank you for asking.
