I'm going to say something, primarily so that I can be included in the discussion, but also to mark my place so that when I get home this weekend I can share my thoughts.........so, Dougal, you know they're gonna take that down, right?? They asked me to kindly change my screen name, (because it offended someone.......most likely a newbe because I've had it for 5 years.....but, nevertheless), so I did. But, it's an awesome poster.....LOL
TennMan Thanks this. -
If I'm on the drive line, how would anyone else book a load?
-
This schnieder lawyer, enough with the union talk and go back to work or you will all out of job tomorrow.
-
Didn't used to be like that here. Night shift & weekend support was better than dealing with day shift.TennMan and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Speaking of things that we should be paid for.
When a load changes, we should not have to be there in order to get paid. We booked loads with a purpose, and when something changes, it messes everything up.
I say this because my day has gone from bad to worse.
Booked a load from Ohio to Texas. Did so, because there was a load going from Dallas, up to my house. Two stops, finishing out 5 miles from my house. I get two hours away from my drop in Texas today, and my home load gets pushed out to Monday. Two hours notice in Texas, just lovely. "Sorry, we can't pay you because you aren't AT the shipper."
Going home because of my anniversary, just throwing that in there....
So, I get somewhat lucky and a load is available taking me close to home, only problem is it won't be ready til 11:00am tomorrow. Heavy water load out of Hawkins, TX. Pays cheap, but at this point it doesn't matter. I drop in Wilmer, grab an empty, and proceed to Tyler early today, putting me 14 miles from my 11:00am pickup tomorrow.
30 minutes ago, I got a message. Load is now picking up in Dallas, and instead of 11:00am, it is supposed to be ready at 1700. Imagine that. I was there, and drove 100 miles to get over here to wait on the load. Now, since I am sitting 14 miles away from where the shipper was supposed to be (and sitting here all day and night), I am betting they will try to weasel out of payment once again because I am not at the shipper. I will push hard on this one.
It's 2200. I jump on the loadboard, nothing. Looks like I will continue to sit here until tomorrow afternoon so I can drive back to Dallas to pick up the load and head home with it.
Some days it doesn't pay to climb out of the sleeper.alpha beta, TennMan and sicksfeet Thank this. -
Any truck signed on with SNI now has to be a 2010 or newer and meet EPA2010 emissions regs. ICs that currently have gliders/older trucks signed on to the program are grandfathered in. Got this right from the SNI recruiter.centralmi Thanks this.

If you notice what you quoted, I got my info from a recruiter as well. I'm guessing it may have been lots of miscommunication when i asked though.
Regardless, that is a stupid policy for them to implement. -
It's definitely a stupid policy...I wanted to buy an old Schneider glider to bring on the program and was told no.centralmi Thanks this.

That sucks, because the ones that they have themselves for sale are set up very nicely.
Makes me wonder what will happen with me once we hit that time of year when the leases have to be signed again. Wouldn't be surprised to get a notice telling me they weren't going to renew.
