A lot of the people is see doing that are the drivers with one foot on the dash. Wearing track suits, flip flops and some headgear besides a ball cap. And a white Volvo with a name like Schaumburg or Naperville on it. They are just barely controlling the darn thing anyway. So when they get up beside you, and the wind patterns change, they lose it.

Most of them aren't doing it on purpose. They just aren't paying attention or realize where their truck/trailer is.

Had a food service guy do that to me recently while going around a right curve. Steer tire on the zipper and trailer quite a bit over. I put my mirror right next to his trailer and he was surprised when he looked in the mirror. Did he see what was going on and correct the issue? Nope, started laying on the air horn like I was the one with the problem. :tard:

Don't let it get to you, these people are amusing. Just watch out for them and try to keep everyone else safe.

This affirms why there is no secret code, just HACK drivers.
Yesterday one of the many 10,000 trucks I slide over for, Joe Extended Hood car hauler, passes me just before my Petro.
I stop, grab to go box, back down the highway.
Well 15 miles up the highway, after half a mile back up, guess who's right in the middle of an accident???
Three guesses, the first two don't count.
    Go ahead guess.
    That's right. Joe.
With multi bears all over him.
Didn't look like any injuries, just broken metal & plastic.
There is no code, just defensive driving, lest you be on the side of the highway with Joe & bear.

Those are the same guys with the phone lighting up the inside of the cab. Sometimes I think it's just a dash light until they get close enough in my mirror and I can see their face lit up. Facebook driving my friend.

Wait until you meet the ones that think they have the right of way merging onto the highway and don't give a crap about you, get out of the way or put your brakes on their getting on. Funny thinking about it seems they are always white trucks with a big S or W's on the side

We don't get to many of those in our neck of the woods. I did have a conversation with one at a dock once. It didn't go well for him. Of course being disrespectful usually is a bad way to start.

There is no secret code just ######## on the road. They think they own the road and will do what they can to intimidate you. I have to deal with this every day either in the truck or the car/pickup.

See this is what we've come to, everyone is for themselves, most are in such a hurry they don't care and when an accident happens because of their stupidity, they are quick to blame someone else. This should be a profession, where people are willing to look at driving not as just a way to make money quickly but to make it for a long time. It isn't, it is just a job and we get poor drivers who can't understand why people get pissed off because they drive like they do.

    couple of other possibilities:
    1. The OP was all over the road and the passer is letting him know he's driving like a drunk going to get more liquor
    2. The passer managed to put his phone down long enough for his passenger window to get by the op's driver side window, but once past, he's free to text again.
