1999 Freightliner Century.
Clearance lights on trailer not coming on.
Changed out pigtails with 2 other and no go.
Use a different tractor to power trailer and all lights work, so clearance issue isolated to tractor side.
Open fuse box and check fuses and they are ok.
Check boxes marked marker relays and tailights? relays and they are working as well. I swapped out the two and no change.
I have sent pm to fyda cincy to see about getting a wiring diagram, but was wondering if anyone has had this happen before and what/where I should start looking.
Thanks!!

check 46A wire, trailer marker relay, trailer marker circuit braker, wiring of 7 way connector, wiring under the cabin

First off, have you checked for power at the point where you were swapping connections? Did you check for power at the socket?

If you have checked your fuses and breakers, I would check the plug where the pigtail goes in to the tractor. You may have some corrosion or a loose wire. If that looks good and you are not getting power to the plug, then you probably have a wire that is cut or loose. You need to follow the wiring and should find the problem. If none of the lights are working on the trailer then my first suspicion would be a fuse or breaker. It is very rare for all lights to go out at the same time. Do the turn signals or flashers work on the trailer or just the marker lights?

I'm going with left frame rail, just about where the back of the cab is, the wire harness is chaffed with one or two wires broken and a couple others thinned.
Not that it's ever happened to me. -
the trailer light connectors are in solid insolation and they are very tought, so no damage possible if insolation is not damaged, so look for its damage visually. I used to change PDM to connector cord not onese on many trucks. European wiring is thinner and go bad more frequantly (they use 24v bulbs and wires are thinner), but european connectors never fail. US connectors may overheat if contact is bad so check connector for melt plastic and loosen terminals.

We have a winner. The mechanic went straight to the connectrs on the frame rail and needless to say, there was a good bit of corrosion on both sides of connector. The female and male side. Cleaned it up pretty good and voila Lights! Camera! Action!
Thanks again.. -
Is there anyway you could send me a picture of where this would be or what they look like? Thank you in advance...

2007 Century , same problem, ended up replacing marker/headlights switch Freightliner part # A06-30769-010(52.43$) at Freightliner in Troy,IL 25$ at Amazon and Marker Interrupted switch Freightliner Part # A06-30769-000(37.29) at Freightliner in Troy,IL, can't get it try Amazon. All works as it should. Temporary You can light trailer marker lights by connecting brown and blue wires on a trailer electrical cord with piece of bare wire should be central and 11:00 o'clock terminals on a trailer side of connectior.

So after months of trying and searching, it turns out that a top clearance light on the box was shorting out the whole system. I disconnected the main power line going to the top box lights and the short went away... smh
