Hardwood Floor or Checker-plate Steel?

I'd like to know how this works out. Also which brand will you use? I've seen them in pickup beds that took a real beating and still were in relatively good shape, but I've seen others that looked like crap after 3-4 years. I suppose it could depend on how they are put on, but I'm betting there is a brand difference.

 

Im leaning towards steel flat deck with a carrier type traction coating. Is that bad?

Ive always loved a good hardwood floor A good strong quality floor that is THICK and varnished against moisture with some anti skid traction covering or even strips will do well.

Just one issue. Nails... for building corner pallet stacks of small planks to cage in the pallet of something across that deck front to back on every single pallet corner... there has to be a better way. But to this day I have not understood any.
