Brian, I was thinking about this and unless the big units you speak of are high top vans, I think the 5 car would be a mistake. The Miller/Cottrell/Wally Mo 7 cars handle big trucks and SUVs better.tech10171968 Thanks this.

They are mostly mid and high roof Transit vans, plus we get a lot of fleet units with ladder racks. I don't have much of a problem with suv type vehicles on my Miller, the vans are killing me though. We have about 125 mid roofs to move over the next 6 weeks, luckily the account will allow us to drive them so I have been sending drivers with the trucks to load up what will fit and drive the rest.Terry270 Thanks this.

Gotcha, yeah hard to beat the versatility of the SC then. That Sun Valley lo-pro 8 car might not be a bad option eitherbrian991219 Thanks this.

Cottrell has a high mount next gen strap 7 I like a lot, but it is too heavy when fully loaded to use my single axle tractors, but it would handle vans well and still be a great 6/7 unit when needed.Terry270 Thanks this.

i agree with you on the depreciation. I have been looking high and low for a lightly used dually but they are few and far between. Also there are so many different ways to equip a truck that greatly impact the towing capacity, specifically the trans and the rear. i am looking at a new ram 3500 with the 4.10 rear and anison trans. rated at 30,200 pound capacity.
