Electric locks...meaning you have a remote that locks or unlocks the door?

We have remote door locks on our Macks. It's harder for me to open the door with the maual key. Sometimes it won't even turn. If it is remote, this what I do to unlock the door. If it isn't, than disregard what I mentioned.

What I do first is hit the unlock button several times. Somtimes it literally takes 2-3 minutes to unlock. (Boy I tell ya, technology...it can be a good thing or a bad thing)

If that doesn't work, manually use the key and push in the door a couple times and then pull on the lever. Do not force the key to turn, cause if it breaks off, you have a whole set of new problems.

Or the battery may be low on the remote.

Again...if it isn't remote door locks, disregard what I mentioned.

I had the same problem on a 2008 T-2000. I showed up for work and the key would not open the doors. I figured somebody super glued them. Dont really know. Ended up replacing the locks. These were not electric locks.

Call a lock smith to get it open and then make it to the nearest KW dealer to get the door fixed. I had this issue with my FLs and it was always something in side the door that was jamming up and needed some oil or something.

Ok, There is a need to check to see if water got into the door compartment and shorted the electronic switch for the door locks...also check fuse relay Secondly the key lock is connected to a lever that pushes the lock on or off. If the key turns in both positions but only locks the door, something is wrong at the connector. A visual inspection is needed to determine the problem.

    Hope this helps....
