I am taking it you got the 8" tablet? If you have it on under settings, look for battery. You will see a graph on the right side. When you plug directly into the tablet with NO apps running, do you see the graph showing a charge (uphill) on the chart?
If not.. Do you have the AC cord? If so, have you tried to see if it is taking a charge?
I understand you use this as a tool, but if we cannot narrow down the issue you may have to send it in.
On the tip of the DC connector, unscrew it to make sure the fuse is not blown.
Thanks,
Mark

No other truck GPS manufacture will let you borrow a "loaner.", so no need to flambase RM for the same policies that are used business wide.
I posted a response to your post already. Please try to keep it civil.

Circuit city and computational gave loaner laptops. Too bad America let them go bankrupt

I just bought the 8 inch Rand McNally tnd tablet primarily just for the dash cam as I already have the 5-inch GPS navigation system in place it is the best 500 bucks that I spent in my life because now the police can see it any thieves walking around can see it and it's always recording not to mention the best type of insurance coverage for yourself because anytime there's an accident it's always the truck driver's fault is always a truck driver was in the way well now that I have this tablet people can't say s*** because it's all on a recording and right now I'm looking at it and I started recording yesterday and I only use it for the dash cam because it is always running and is visible right now has 1186 minutes of recording time with a mere 32 gigabyte disc what they call them SD card and is still recording it can take up to a 64 gigabyte SD card but with the 32 it's plenty of room and if I need to I can save it...it has option 5o break it up into segments for review and record again but it is the best eyes on the road I can definitely assure you that you will not waste your money and if you're complaining about a $500 ticket for this excellence piece of machinery yeah I can imagine when every time you stop at the casino how much you put into a machine and if you don't gamble how many hotdogs do you eat a month I'll pay the $500 easily and aa a truck driver if you're not making $500 I don't know what to tell you you doing something wrong ...and for all those people who have $500 who aren't wasting their money on candy and junk and casinos I'll guarantee you this will be the best piece of machinery that will cover you in case of any accidents also I have right above that my GPS units by Rand McNally a 5" that I use for GPS only ... it's really not that big I mean honestly they fit right on top of each other if you want pics photos just email me or reply to this message and I'll post a picture for you also it is the best decision that I've made by far because cops can see that at the last game is there and if for any reason they stopped me all I say is hey let's review my tape let's rewind the recording what were you talking about officer it's the best type of coverage in backup you have and Witness without another person's opinion what happens is all on tape great job Rand McNally you have done it this time by far the best piece of Machinery I own!!!!!!!

How do you know it's the best $500 you've ever spent? You just bought the thing.
We all can buy a tablet for $200 and it'll do the exact same things. With upgraded hardware and software. -

There's a reason why copilot is cheaper. If you want candy, there's FREE apps for that.

I've got an issue with my TND T80, maybe you guys can help. Whenever it connects to wifi, and every maybe 20-25 minutes thereafter until wifi is disconnected, I get an error "unfortunately RM Services has stopped." It seems to be choking on a bunch of TellRands. While this in itself isn't that big a deal, it does prevent me from updating my maps (and, I assume, the crashing RM services itself). I tried force stopping RMS from within Android's settings, rebooting I don't know how many times, clearing cache as well as data, and even rolling it back to the version the tablet shipped with, all to no avail. Even performing a factory reset on the tablet did basically nothing: the GPS carried on navigating to my next stop as though nothing happened, albeit with a half hour or so pause while it did its thing "resetting." So either there's a bit of data to which it's allergic (why I'm guessing it's a TellRand problem, maybe a semicolon it doesn't like or something?) or there's another process going haywire making RMS cranky.
I'm a pretty tech-savvy person, I do know my way around ADB if we have to get medieval in getting the poor bugger back to health. -
The issue was resolved but the apk is not due to be released yet, but soon.
Thanks,
Mark
