The new style upper windows are glued in place with an epoxy material. you have to cut the epoxy. Had a Volvo with the new style upper window and the glass fell out. our shop replaced the window assembly and had a chore to cut out the old window assembly.
CoyoteExpress Thanks this. -

both Gen 1 & Gen 2 Volvo Trucks 660/670/770/780 have the same layout of the upper window. Only difference is the 2010 and up have the vented windows. Both style windows are held in by the rubber molding around it. Best way to remove the windows is to kick it out at the aluminium surround. You can get the older style windows at a junk yard for around $50
