Ya he is a little trainer shy now but is gonna go do it again. He is supposed to call them today to set up a return time and a new trainer. Hopefully, this one is better. The last guy wouldn't even stop long enough for a shower! Yuck!
Dragon, how did the Pepsi interview go?

I decided to take the job at the casino instead. It pays alot more and alot closer than Pepsi. Cant see driving 100 miles a day to get back and forth to work. So I decided driving 4 miles is much easier on the gas bill....Is Wayne with you guys in Laughlin??

I heard they're going to try. I would imagine that if you don't own your truck outright, they're going to force you into doing it. And then they're going to claim the system doesn't take paperless logs, so the ones who really own their trucks will have to change over or quit.

We're hunting a new job now, if they go paperless I'm done. Like most people posting here say, I'm not running my logs all funny, but it's nice to know that with paper, if I have to monkey a little, I can do it.

As the paperless logs weren't part of our contract then they really can't make the L/O go paperless and if they do....they will be getting the truck back.

JJ has been offered a very good job in Australia working for my family, still driving a truck but he would be home every night and make a reasonably good living...I'm just not sure we want to work for family it tends to create tension. There are also the open cut coal mines there which pay extremely well but not as easy to get a job at.

I have the house on the market now because it seems pretty silly to keep it when we are home for 4 days every three months...we can get a really nice motel and save heaps on paying people to take care of the lawn while we are away, not to mention the Mortgage lol.

It seems every time I get on this site I read about more and more Central guys and girls looking for other jobs. They can't even keep the drivers who just finished training, if they finish training it seems most can't even get a trainer.

...can't even get a recruiter. They don't answer or return calls (tried for over a month and spoke to someone one time) and the email shown on the website is a dead server.

    Hey Jess.
Just make sure you have a home mailing address. Any family member in the state his license is in will work, or a friend. He needs it for taxes. If you do not have a physical home address he cannot claim per-diem. And this is a big chunk of change at the end of the year. 80% of 54 dollars a day this year, for every night out.

They were starting route drivers at $12.43/HR work day is 10-12 hrs. I heard it goes up quite a bit after probation, but not sure.

Was it in Parker? That is the only one i seen near here. They didn't ask for over OTR experience? Most places do.
