The 8 inch rand McNally tablet

Is there a screen protector anyone has found that is designed specifically for the 8" tablet?

 

I use on one of mine the Glass for the IPad mini,,, except for the hole for the button it works well. Make sure they install it.

Make sure WHO installs it? I just want a screen protector on my Rand McNally 8" GPS/Tablet (the simple thin clear screen saver thing). I don't see how I would need anyone to install it. I just don't find one designed specifically for it....?

 

If you go and get the glass let the store you buy it from install it. They break during install no cost to you if they break

If you get the simple plastic go to Walmart and they sell one that helps with polarization. Either this thread or the other about a month ago another person posted the info on it

Just to add my experiences to why Mark said that too. Those screen films can be VERY frustrating if you are picky about your stuff (as I am.) Don't even think about trying it in a dusty environment for instance. You will be amazed at how even the smallest particle makes an irritating white bubble on the screen. I have done a lot of them here at our shop, and I HATE doing them. You need to clean every spec off your screen first and then be SUPER careful getting it on with no air bubbles or dust specs under it.

So what Mark is saying is that (especially if you pay $20 or $30 bucks for a high-end polarized film) that all of the liability for getting it on perfectly lies with the store geek if you bring your tablet or phone into them. If it isn't 100% to your satisfaction, they have to try another one on their dime and not yours. Lol.

I just purchased the TND 80 and it won't update. A notification appears at the top left corner that says there is an update for Rand McNally and when I click it it asks to install now or later. I click now and the download symbol appears for a second and then closes out. I am connected to WiFi and have registered the device. Any help?
