Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I've been there, saw the signs then listened to the trucks around me. Slept well in my idiling truck!

You're lucky. I spent 17 hours there once. A friend and fellow Abilene driver, 26 hours. I was a little perturbed, but he was royally pissed.

Well at least it's stayed consistent!

 

Yeah, I'd get more excersise picking him up off the floor. LOL

But at least staying that long means a 10, sleep and or a recap addition. All 7 hours did was screw me for making Haw River. I could have but by the time I got there it would be packed. So, I settled for the Blacksburg J with plenty of parking left. Makes no difference in arrival time to the yard so what the hey.

 

Dunno if he can or not. I think he could handle himself but of the two of us, let's just say I'm clearly more ..... biker!

Shut down at AME-WM. Going to swing by the kids place for my needed meds and hit the Walmart, then head on down towards Pflugerville. Stop short, take a reset day, then deliver bright and early Monday. Sadly, it will be a lengthy unload. Over 41k of product, and one unloader. Oh well. But, if we camp at the consignee, then we have no facilities at all. So.....

 

Something dispatch will clearly never understand.
