USXpress has something like that (or did when I was there). I think it was like a text message saying you had a message or load on your truck.

 

That's really all it needs to be. A simple text message that's sent when the order is. It would save a lot of time and fuel in the long run. It would allow us to take care of the personal side of living out there better as well.

 

Great idea. Send it on a QC message. I'm sure the message will get to the right person in, say, 3 decades.

 

It has been mentioned to the operations manager, with the same reasoning put forth.

 

Well, at least we aren't allowed to protect ourselves in that instance.

 

It doesn't need to be a complicated or expensive process. They already have our cell phone numbers, when a message or load is sent to the QC then a text message telling you to check QC would be good enough.

There are free PC programs out there that allow a text to be sent to a cell phone.

 

I have heard of a mysterious app that allows us to get QC messages on our phones. Anyone have the 411 on that app?

 

I think he may have meant it was you ready to snap so don't get into anything with you.
