My other job didn't work out, so I'm at orientation with Schneider this week in Dallas. I'm going to be working an awe inspiring 3 days per week lol. Orientation sucks, I'm honestly not sure why experienced drivers would ever need to spend a full day on trip planning.... Rookies are in a different class, so why are they making us suffer?

 

Just wait till the safety and hazmat videos and tests

 

Those are tomorrow and Thursday, along with the road test. I had the joy of learning that it should take 15-30min to properly and safely drop/hook the Schneider Safety way.

 

There's a reason they teach drop/hook. Years ago a driver didn't couple properly,lost the trailer and killed a family.

 

Those are a breeze compared to the sexual harassment course; you can't rush through those.

 

I bet the trainer that tells that story knew the guy personally and had all sorts of details.

Not saying it didn't happen to someone somewhere at some point, but they all have the same stories that are told in order to make the lessons stick.

Now of course you need to know how to drop and hook the Schneider way @ExOTR

Just make sure you don't forget the exact steps in exact order between those yearly recerts
