ive had my dump truck for a yr now..with the same old ugly bed. its 17ft, and would lean like crazy when i first got it. i stiffened up the under frame on it by welding box tubing a few feet apart throught the frame and it helped tremendously.
the floor on the other hand is just hideous. floor is real dented up and i get dirt stuck daily...real annoying. was wondering if people really lay down wood to help out. i was thinking of putting small 1 inch thick wood in the dips, and laying down 2x10s longways throught the entire floor. anyone try this? cost of replacing my floor was about 2800..which is not worth it for this box. just want keep cost down. my truck empty weighs about 25k pounds, which is also a concern.

If you think it sticks now, get some wet dirt on the wood and see how fast it builds up.

Or wait till winter when it starts freezing.

well i also have a plastic liner from an end dump i was given..if i need to use it. was maybe trying to avoid using because of the added weight

The wood by itself won't work. Like others have said the dirt won't slide out over it when it has moisture in it. Maybe the liner over the wood would work. You're in uncharted half assery with that so I couldn't say how well it would work.Ruthless Thanks this.

can u explain the half assery?
