Hi all
Wanted to ask a question regarding a sign over a bridge.
There is a bridge near me that has a sign that says "weight limit - tandem axle 24,000 lbs" next to it (behind some trees no less). No other weight limit signs are present. Does this mean that you can cross the bridge as long as each of your tandems is less than 24k? For example if I'm running 9000/18000/20000 than its okay? It doesn't say that it's a gross limit of 24,000 just tandem limit.
Just wanted to clarify,
Thank you

That's how I would interpret the sign

I would just go with the axle weights, otherwise it should say GVW.
-
I'm guessing it's a short bridge span.

Sounds like your good to go.

Well, limiting tandem weights will certainly impact your gross, of course.
In the case of that particular span, dump trucks are the primary target, IMO.okiedokie Thanks this.
