I guess it depends on what they have negotiated with you. I would call and ask a recruiter as I could not answer for them, sorry.

Bring some food and save alot of money. I now spend less than $10 a week with the exception of scales which in reimbursed. I know in the EVO's it is hard to bring your own food. Atleast bring some snacks and a case of water and eat off the value menus or eat alot of Pilot hotdogs,

depends on what you want to eat.
My average fast food meal was 5-6 bucks depending on were I was.
I ate alot of value menu Items.
I did however eat at cafe's too that would set me back 10-15 bucks depending on what you want.
If you eat a good breakfast then a good dinner ''not lunch'' you should be ok with no more than 15 bucks a day.
I never liked to stop for lunch because it takes too long to get something to eat.
When I would stop for fuel I may pick up one or two of these items from this list a small bag of chips, nuts, apple, orange, pop, water just something not too unhealthy to tie me over untill dinner.
You will want to try and eat as healthy as you can while you are out.
You can get a baked potato at wendy's for .99 cent I belive that is a great replacement for french fries it has no oil or salt. I
would rather eat at burger king than wendy's because burger king has a broiler were alot of the grease will drop off were as wendy's grill theirs and sits in grease.
While you are out with a trainer you will want to ask him if he cares if you bring stuff with you besides the necessity's I had a good one at my first company he told me I could use part of his fridge.
I did not get alot of space but just enought to put a day or two worth of stuff in his fridge.
He also did limit me to what I could fit in the two cubby's up by my bed and what I can fit up on my bed with me being able to get a good nights sleep.
I ended up with two duffle bags,1/2 case of water, 6 pack of pop, a few snack items that i could stick into the cubbys, laptop, chips, then he also got me hooked on those propel fitness water's I quit drinking them now I am hooked on the g2's they have less salt in them.
The propel and the g2's do not subsitute for food just something better than alot of pop and water trust me you will be tired of the plain water after a while.Last edited: Aug 29, 2008

I left Roehl recently and I have nothing but good to say about the manner in which they handled it. I called in and talked with DSR and was very clear as to why I was leaving and he completely understood. I was on home time, so I made myself immediately available for dispatch and told them I would bring their truck to any terminal the wanted. They got me a load headed for Chicago, I did everything just as if I were not quitting. I turned my truck into Gary after cleaning it out and returning all of my securement equipment. Several staff member noticed me cleaning my truck and came by to talk about my departure. Once I was done, they gave me a ComData card with $100 on it to help get me home and offered me my job back if things didn't work out. Roehl is great company, and I would work for them again in a heartbeat.

I start with Roehl on September 8th. Thanks for all the info, I'm looking forward to this new career - lifestyle.

Wear did ya jump to Dr. Venture?

I had a pre-hire with a local company, but that fell threw. I'd go back to Roehl but I have some medical stuff I may as well take care of while I'm off the road.
