you're lucky to have found such a warehouse of parts, especially "new-old stock" (as they are called in the automotive world, not sure about bikes though). you don't plan on selling it do you? not that i would buy it, just curious, since you have done so much for it now. it would be worth a few bucks, i'd keep it. any other bikes you would try to restore?

i had 2 bikes a few years ago, a suzuki 800 intruder, then a honda ACE shadow touring. but, a new transmission in my t-bird, made me say good-bye to the honda, the suzuki went (to trade in) for the honda. i miss my bike.

    Sour Grapes??
I'll give you that, but one thing is for sure, it REALLY pisses him off.

You would have to investigate the link YOU supplied eariler in this thread. I think David Derderian got a whopping 25% positive rating from that website (1 of 4). The other website I am familiar with gives him a higher rating of 50% (1 of 2).
So, 2 positive and 4 negative would give him an over POSITIVE rating of...
    lets see...
    count along with me now...
    30%
    That was easy.

    SELL IT??? Not only NO....
    (fill in the rest)

    LOL

I have FAR more into it than it is worth. You can buy a good road worthy BSA for about $2500. But the paint may NOT be original. Check out EBay.
Fully restored to original condition it is worth about $3500 (or less depending on engine condition), but believe it not much more than that. Funny, in England, a JAP motorcycle, same year, same condition goes for about 400% what it would sell over here, especially the SOCH Honda 750-4. When my sister and her husband lived in London, I tried to have him hook me up with a BRIT that had Brit parts but would trade them for JAP. I could have made a small fortune, considering I was buying 1 750-4 after another for less than $50 if not getting them for FREE for about 5 years in Michigan. But my bro-in-law isn't a "motorcycle enthusiast" like I am. I have been ridding since I was 15 (1970)

well you know, you have your thoughts, he has his, we here on these boards have ours. there is an old saying, that "there are three sides to every story, yours, his, and the truth".

what i still don't understand though, is why did you (did you?) create a web site to specifically bash him? surely you "thought" of any consequences, didn't you? a person can only carry "sour grapes" too far before anyone (or everyone) you try to relate this story to considers you nothing more than a bitter person (or maybe worse) and will just either bust your chops for it, or degrade you to a level you will never recover from.

we've all at one time or another had some difficult situations, either in marriage, work, school, whatever, and we get over it. you are telling us of a "bad company", that's ok, but to then inform us about your web site about your personal attacks against him, isn't really convincing me that you are mature enough to handle this is a more "gentlemen's way". don't forget, he (DRD) can always use the DAC reporting service to his favor, never yours.

anyhow, the saga continues of "as the worm turns"..........starring "Mike Hankins" as the down trudgeon trucker screwed by a "dirty rotten scondrel".....played by, Micheal Caine.........

jeez, i would have thought that an excellent condition (even if restored) BSA would be worth far more. i can't find any 750 honda's here either. anyone that has one is hiding it..........

i'm thinking about the yamaha touring bike (forgot the name), but it goes around $16,000 new. i don't like the honda gold wing, it just doesn't "fit me right". i do like the harley ultra classic electra glide, and if i HAD THAT KIND OF MONEY, i'd get one. retails for about $25,000 here (east coast).

some day, some day, i'll hit the lottery, buy a new bike, and keep on driving my truck, as i need a "hobby"....................

funny thing, when i was 17 or 18, i wanted to buy a bike. my dad had to come with me as i was going to need a "co-signer". anyhow, we went to the local Honda dealer. they had a row of 125's, 175's and a few 750's.

i can't remember the prices, but suffice it to say, the 125's were the cheapest, the 750's the highest, and although i can't remember those prices, i would think the 750's were about $1,000 to $1,300 back then.

i said to my dad, "i want the big bike", and he asked why.

i said, "so that i can go faster"...............wrong thing to say.......

    we promptly left the dealership.................

that is something i will always remember, me blowing my chance for a brand new 750.................kids.....huh.........??

this is the bike i want, if i can't ever get the harley :2007 Yamaha Royal Star Venture Home, information, info

I only posted the website cause I KNEW it would piss him off (and it DID), he has been "stalking" me for over a year now with the same hit-n-run methods he demonstrated here, plus there is the added benefit of an occasional potential customer not using his service because what they read on my website.

But it isnt just "me", it wasn't just because he treated me bad. If YOU would have been standing in that TA and LISTEN to him (thru the phone)screaming at the top of his lungs at a fuel clerk who couldn't violate company policy then watched her burst into tears and weep, you might understand why I despise the man totally.
You are right, he CAN use DAC, but anything he puts there can be disputed, and I have the right to have any erronious information removed. The fact is: even though he fired me, the State of Michigan determined that I had the RIGHT to refuse to break ANY law, that his firing of me was not justified and I ALSO had the RIGHT to refuse to drive his truck from my home city to deliver it to him. Because at my final post-trip I determined it wasn't safe to drive. (Hey, I did offer to drop his truck off at the Freightliner dealer for repairs, but he declined.)
THAT determination was made by the MESC (Michigan Employment Security Commission), and not the DLEG (Department of Labor and Economic Growth).

Besides, I have been steadily employeed since last October and I plan on staying where I am working for a long time. I got an employer who values my work, my intellegence AND my imput. AND he knows about ALL of my web sites.

My best friend in Michigan has one (not a 2007). But he has throat cancer and might not see another riding season. He is too sick now to ride it, with his chemo and radiation treatments.

sorry to hear about your friend. cancer certainly isn't something anyone can ignore. the faster the diagnosis, the faster the treatment(s). i wish him well, though, but if he doesn't survive, hopefully he had a full lifetime with his family, friends, etc. i would "surmise" he's about "our age", and that still hurts leaving this world at still a "young" age, but if everything being done doesn't work towards a cure, then the suffering would be too much to carry on. i had several relatives and some friends who "fought for their lives", but in the end.........well, you get the idea.

also, about you "pissing off" your former employer (DRD), i think that some day, despite your hatred for the guy, you should seriously consider dropping your pursuit of destroying him and his business.

i said in one of my posts, "with YOUR kind of "attitude" problems, its a wonder no one took a gun to your head point blank range, and that may very well happen someday,(by some crazed person you'll give lip service to)."

you are only serving yourself "on a silver platter" for that to happen to you someday, if this escalates to an even higher level with DRD or anyone else connected to that person/company. you don't know what or when someone will "snap" and seek you out. don't forget, people know where you live, heck, on that cancelled check you posted, you gave away your home address. some "crack-pot" from the web can seek you out now..........

best to just get on with your life, and think about your friend who has cancer.........his life will (probably) be cut short, and you will live on carrying this grudge, in effect, a "cancer" to you that you won't be able to be cured of till it kills you.........

life is way too short, so enjoy each and everyday you have, and be thankful to "your God" for what you have.............don't believe me, ask your friend..............

Ya, my buddy turns 50 this fall (if he makes it). I have known him for about 18 years. Rode motorcycles many miles together over the years. Sadly, he ignored a constant sore throat for over 4 months before it got so bad he could hardly swallow. It was Stage 4 when he finally went to a doctor.

I will have less effect on his business than he will have on it himself. There is no better advertisment for a service than word-of-mouth, and the word is spreading.

Really, I don't have an attitude problem. There is a right afforded to people in this coutry, granted by the US Constitution. If people are so offended by opinion or facts and they resort to murder because they don't like what they read, or dont like what they hear, the FAULT is with THEM and NOT with the OPINION or FACTS (they don't lke). There really aren't too many people like that in this country. And I don't spend any time trembling in fear of these types of people.
While most people wouldnt resort to creating web sites like I do, I have always (and ONLY) done so in responce to THEIR actions. I didn't even THINK about creating a web site about DRD until I found out he CANCELLED an already issued paycheck. And I probably wouldn't have done so if he had just simply refused to pay me my last pay-check. Just like I used to believe Flying J was an HONORABLE Corportation, until I read what their Lawyer told LandLine Magazine.
They know the address of my "VACATION HOME" (LOL). But my "actual" address is not in Michigan and can change at any time. (Ahhh...life of a truckdriver) Besides, my house is protected by 6 LARGE dogs, 4 shot-guns, 1 45 cal and a cross-bow on three nights per week (pick your night! LOL)
That would be to assume that my entire life is consumed with creating "those types" of web sites, and I do nothing else during the day. Actually I spent very little time creating those websites, and spend less time thinking about them. I have a "LIFE". I have a job (a very good one), I have my "passions", I have hobbies, I have family. What more "life" do I need to "get on with"?
I dont carry a "grudge". But I do enjoy the hostility that that web site brings out, because it shows others the true person that David Derderian is.
I do enjoy every day. I work during the week (at least 6 days), cook and eat dinner, watch a little TV, drink a couple beers then on Sunday, I drive south and plant my skinny kiester in a lawn chair next to the "Mighty Mississip" and drown as many worms as I can.
    What could be better?
Oh...and my "friend"? He enjoys my websites, and has often told me he wishes he was "smart enough" to do what I do.
