Y'all need to have that front end (tires or both) checked out. My baby runs straight and true and handles like a dream. That "sway" folks talk about is just a slight rocking on a one air bag front end. The KW's don't do that as they have 2. But .... I like it. Soft and cushy ...... lol
And I wouldn't trade the 12 speed Ishift for that crap KW box even for the better pulling power.
Welp, nap time. Have a great night everyone.![]()

I doubt it was front end tires or alignment issue you speak of considering every one of them that I have drove have been brand new..and I mean spanking new. My kw shifts as well Or better than I shift.

Well, I have no issues keeping it in a straight line.

What year is your KW? Cause if it's anything like JB's 17? It's no way even close to as good.
In manual mode (I'm in it 75% or more of the time) the Ishift is smooth as silk and skipping gears seamless under any condition. The KW? You can't even skip gears with it and it sounds like a guy with a sledge hammer down there beating gears into place. LOLKD5AXG Thanks this. -
Already let the powers to be know this truck wasn't making otd. When you get a load with multi picks it never goes as planned, not the companys fault just the way it is.

Thing I hated most about the Volvo was climbing up and down (especially down) that ###### ladder to get in and out of the top bunk. Getting into the top bunk in the Kenworth was significantly less hassle.
Also preferred the KW dashboard to the Volvo dash.
Aside from that, though, I don't have any strong feelings either way. I could drive either one and not be upset.
Of course, the fact that I've driven a Volvo and a KW while in training naturally means that they'll probably assign me a Freightliner or a Mack...
Lonesome, KD5AXG, MidWest_MacDaddy and 1 other person Thank this. -
I am in little rock AR short on hours and still 1000 miles from final. Looks like it will take me a day longer than i was hoping as i will have to wait for hours to come back.
Not complaining, it has been a good run, solid 700+ mile driving days, the clock puts an end to those tomorrow though.
I havent out west since training in may and i am surprised how much i remember about the route, landmarks and such.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
