Hi all,
I tried to write a thing yesterday but it didnt make sense...so Im going another route, lol. Do the Centuries come with OEM plug ins for electrical stuff in the overhead CB / storage area? My CB is currently on the provided metal plate on the dash, but there is an overhead section in the middle of the overhead compartment that has room for a CB. It has a elastic band and there are two plug ins...can't figure out what they are for though. And Id have a heckuva time describing them as well. just wondering what they are up there for. Ideas?
OEM plug ins for Century in overhead CB area?

I drive a 04 Columbia (same cab as the Century) and YES, there is power in the overhead. Our newer Clolumbia's also have a external speaker and the jack should be in that overhead also.
good luck, hope this helps -
in the overhead slot, there should be 2 twist style connectors!!! a red for positive= power , a black for negative=ground. these are terminals that usually turn to let you wrap the wires from your cb harness into them. some have hole that you can insert the wire, turn the knob and it will tighten the wire against the terminal. now some cutting of the ends off may be required! hope that helps

Those for my truck are actually located on the dash along with a metal plate to hold the CB and a strap that keeps it in place.
In the overhead area are two electrical plugs. I can't tell if they are OEM or somones handywork.
I need pics, haha.
1. is sqare-ish...size of a quarter. Has four flat metal prongs that sit recessed in the plug (ie..the walls of the plug go up from the base)
2. is thinner...rectangular. Has three female plugs that are all in a row...like vertically.
And yeah...that was confusing and didn't help. I just dont like being the only confused person. lol. -
the overhead compartment was the oem location for the cb the plug is for the power you can buy a pigtail at most truck stops that will fit. If you can not find one there go to the freighliner dealer.
