since youre with mercer , use impact to get the national price , and across the river from Louisville in Indiana , at exit 4 goodyear has both the continental and a goodyear spread axle tire. the goodyear is a rst619, had em on for a year and half now over half left, the firestone fd560 I had on before lasted 3 years. I run continental steer tires on the rear axle. they are holding up fantastic, but that's the rear . and I run my front axle up wheneveri can.
the mercer impact dept has some great prices on tires.
Best tires for spread axle ..

any tire with a solid outside rib should work on a spread axle.
KB3MMX and Skate-Board Thank this. -

FD560 but they discontinued it and it is now the 561. Dont have the 561 on long enough to tell if its gonna last as good as the 560. The difference is the 561 is more of a "green" tire.
Went back to the Aelous (cant think of the number) we had good luck with those and for 268 FET included its a pretty good dealDocRox Thanks this. -
Ok, can we get a update on a decent tire that's not going to break the bank and decent life for a spread, thinking Yoko

My RY023's held up pretty well. Had some brake related flat spotting on one side, and a hub issue on the other, but they both wore fairly evenly over 180,000 miles. Moved them from the front axle to the back about 100,000 miles ago, and all the damage occurred after that. Front axle is still over half tread life at 100,000 miles with no rotations. I'm looking to give their new 108R a try now that my rear axle is just about spent.

Hankook AH12 is a good one. Also they just came out with a TH22 thats made specifically for that. So far its been a good one.

Been a while since I last posted on this.
Through my own trial and error,... I have settled on BF Goodrich ST 230. I'm seeing beteen 110 - 130k miles with 255/70 22.5 with even tread wear. No chunks missing like the Yoko and Firestone were doing.
Priced about $20 less than the Firestone and Yokos.
HurstKB3MMX Thanks this. -
Yes the BFG ST 230 holds up just fine on a spread, been using them for the past 13 years getting about 160K.
The Sumitomo ST 727 wear just as well for a lot less money.
Stay far away from Chinese tires, they're a flat out waste of money especially on the front axle.KB3MMX Thanks this.
