I would say that you should be strong too- letting an English bulldog (or almost any dog) jump out of a truck cab would cripple him! He would have to be lifted in and out every time. He weighs around 45-50 lb.

He is extremely youthful and very healthy. Has not had a vet visit in years. He is on a diet free from chemicals, preservatives, gmos, wheat, grain, or any junk. It's expensive, but it keeps him healthy. We are letting him go to a new friend because we see him living a lot longer and we really want him to be happy. He's not happy now

image.jpeg Tough situation. I would try a bulldog rescue group. Just my opinion , but he will be really miserable and depressed without you after 7 yrs. My dog comes before my wife.

Will you email me at crd1795@outlook.com? Thank you

Also, I am pretty sure he'd be ok without me if he were out on the road, literally his favorite thing to do. I used to drive Florida to Illinois and that made him happier than you could imagine a dog being.

If something went wrong, and one of the parties was not happy, I would want to take him back. This is why I have not opted for the bulldog rescue. I need to know he's doing what he loves and that if he's not happy I can take him back. The bulldog rescue cannot offer that option

Nobody knows the situation or the dog like you do. In my experience most dogs are happiest when they can keep eyes on their best bud (you). I'm sure he was great company on the road. Not sure if this would be an option for you, but maybe find a cheap used golf cart for rides around the house? A buddy of mine did this for his aging pup and it worked great. Hopefully a good situation can be found for all involved. image.jpeg
