The thing about K&B is that you will inevitably deal with a few operations people who lack "people skills" - to put it politely.
If you can keep your cool and respond to such problems assertively and professionally, you will get better treatment.
Some can't do this - they get in fights, quit and bad mouth the company. This hurts K&B's reputation and makes it harder for them to hire enough high-quality drivers.

It's really too bad. Except for a few poorly supervised bad apples in operations, it is a pretty good company with good compensation.

Exactly. Ive only been here for 3 days but from what I've seen so far, it's not near as bad as the reviews say. I think alot of it is these people join the company expecting easy money, and that's not how it works. They pay very well but they expect you to do your job.

What of the bad ops having the blessing of management? That makes management the problem, not ops.

I don't think that K&B cornered the market on folks who lack people skills. Every company has one or more of those types.

Pretty much. Let me ask all of you this. How many companies do yall know of that pays 45 cents a mile and will guarantee 1125 dollars a week? Yes, you're going to have to put up with some bs, but you're going to have that at any company. The trick is to find one that pays well enough to make putting up with the bs worth it.

I decided it is better to direct my anger toward the individual causing me a problem rather than the whole company. When we take an issue up the food chain, there is usually a satisfactory result.

That has not been my general experience. However I recently was outraged by the actions of the head safety guy so I found out who was senior over him (the head logs guy) and got the issue resolved that way.
