Ltl is less then load. A multi stop load.

Try Roehl as they training is broke down into phases. Phase one puts you with the terminal trainer team for seven days of training. Driving and backing....and they have a FB section. Phase 2 puts you with a trainer.
CDL "school" teaches you just enough to pass the test. -
Yeah that's what my cdl school did.. .. There r a lot of ####ty trainers in the business... Maybe one day ill be able to train ppl so they dnt have to go through a lot of this ####... And i have heard good things about rohel

Yes LTL is multi stop loads. Most all the furniture we haul is LTL. And then backhaul full loads back the terminals, or broker loads. But I think conover has some Home Depot dedicated stuff and other things where them guys don't do furniture. But that's really where the money is. As far as stops per trailer anywhere from 8 or 9 up to 20+. Me personally give me all the 20+ stop loads they have lol. I done a 21 stop about 2 weeks ago, last week I done 1-12 stop and 1-14 stop along with 2 backhauls home. Had a great week. But the 21 stop week was only one load. But made good
Money that week too. So the weeks vary. But I like the LTL stuff better. But every driver is different too. Some like to sit in the seat and drive 600+ A day. I don't lol -
Usually, for a skateboarder, it's 393.100 out of the green and white bible.

What's up RevKev! I realize you are not with McElroy anymore but just had some questions about the company if you don't mind. I start orientation on Monday and I was just curious as to what the road test consisted of. How long is it? What would be required of me? Are the instructors giving the road test strict/laidback or are they looking to fail you? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Try a company that's not a training company. You've already been through school, so now it's time for a big boy company that doesn't have their own cdl school. You'll gain self confidence and your skills will quickly sharpen once you start driving with a regular company.

Sorry for the late reply. Just now saw this. Anyway, the initial road test is no big deal. Two miles down a 4-lane highway, turn around, comeback. Mainly just checking to see if you use your mirrors, can roll the truck down the road. At least that's all it was when I was at the Cuba, AL terminal. A grind or two of the gears is no big deal.
