I've got the rental car for a week. Cheaper to rent it for the week than to rent it one way from La to Fla. Plan is to return the rental back in Lake Charles.

I appreciate the offer. And if in the future you need a ride out from Fla to anywhere and I can do it,. I give you the same offer.

    LOL

I wish it was that easy.

I actually want one of those Note7 phones. I have the Note4 right now. I passed over the Note5. It lacked some features that I really like and my Note4 does have.

Unless they actually fix the battery issue instead of band-aid it like they are now with not fully charging the phone,.. thats not a fix in my opinion. The whole reason to have a battery that large is to be able to have that kind of battery capacity to keep the phone charged for 36+hrs of usage. That was one of the key selling points for me. To castrate the battery is a deal breaker.

I really like the Note phones not only because of the large screen size, but because it has the stylus pen. When doing OS/OW loads,.. some states like Colorado need a signed copy of the permit. I had problems in the past with them not accepting digital copies of the permit. The Note4 and stylus pen lets me edit the PDF file and sign a digital copy of the permit. Viola,.. problem solved. No need to print up the permit.

Not sure on your experience trying to keep a printer in the truck. But I have had problems with printers lasting more than 3 - 4 months with out crapping out on me. I guess they just dont like to be bounced around in a semi truck.

I like the note 4 as well. Many times over the years, I've had to remove the battery because of various glitches that only battery removal would fix. I like being able to remove the battery. I also carry a couple of spare batteries with me when vacationing so I don't have to worry about battery life.

Do you or can you sign rate confirmations from your note 4? I never use my stylus, but if I can edit a pdf file to include my signature, that would be awesome. I now carry a printer and print, sign, then scan documents and carrier packets from the road. Being able to do it all from note 4 would be awesome.

Get an HP p1102w laser printer. You can still get them online. Mine has been pretty much bullet proof.

Toner cartridges are $65 and I finally had to buy one a couple years ago. The one that came with it lasted a couple years. Mine has been in the truck since 2012.

Inkjets don't live long in a truck and they cost way too much per page.

Must be a freightshaker thing. My first printer lasted about 4 years. I thought that was pretty good for the cheapest on sale $75 printer I could buy. My next printer was again the cheapest on sale. And my note 5 is a POS. Hate it. It has pop up advertising that freezes my screen periodically. Don't know how or where that came from. Tried many different things to get rid of it to no avail. I will never buy anything Samsung as long as I live. Never had issues like that with any other phone.

I think you could sign rate/cons using the Note4.

I book most of my own loads,.. but the rate/con goes directly to my carrier. He signs and faxes the paperwork back. Then emails me a copy of the rate/con.
