Is your maintenance before being home?
Meaning none of it goes back into the truck or your business. That's what mama gets to spend??

$2500 makes it into my business checking account, I'll transfer $1000 to my personal account so my wife can pay bills and whatever she does with it. The other $1500 just sits in biz checking until it's time to pay the truck payment or buy tires, tools, oil, filters.
Retired firefighter Thanks this. -
Thats almost exactly the way I do it. I only transfer 850 a week to personal acc.
-
Dang. I get more than $900 a week as a company driver. Maybe I'll stay where I'm at.
-
Thats my preference. My nut is low at home 850 is plenty for me. I'd rather see the money in my truck account just in case something happens when my warranty runs out. I know some guys that stick 1000 back for their truck and pocket the rest it's all about how you wanna run your business.Retired firefighter Thanks this.

i don't think bruce oakley has company driver's, so your point is? most company driver's are company for a reason, positive or negative........
-
I just signed my first re-up, some things you don't find out til you find out. I hope you didn't have the mic keyed up while laughing, poor fella...

Yeah, I do it that way so I can show at least 52k a year as an household income.
I transfer 1k for three weeks, and then for the last week I use wells Fargo for payroll, I'll show that I need 4k for the month, 1k a direct deposit, and 3k as advances. The program will automatically calculate what amount of tax is due and withdraws it from my biz account along with the payroll fee. Wells Fargo handles my unemployment taxes and sends me quarterly reports and a w2 at the end of the year.
So when I decide to make a large purchase, I'll have tax proof of my earnings.trucker91 and Retired firefighter Thank this. -
I grossed 206 last year and got 129 home after fuel and Truck ins. Truck payment was 1000 a month so that brings it down to 117,000 to. Over maintenance and taxes plus home bills.
Bonus keeps going up. I'm at .14 cm bonus this year.
Edit. That was 2014 numbers. Looked at my page wrong. Last year was 171 gross and 112 take home. But I took more time off last year, by choice.Last edited: Sep 21, 2016
