Back for more! Retiredhand, sorry that just went over my head. I didnt see where it had anything to do with what was being talked about, but Im slow on jokes anyway. Eagle One is back at TransAm now(finally rid of that trainer-he left with another new-poor guy) testing out this next week. He took all the writtens and passed them, now working on the backing. He phoned me tonight to let me know hes working on the 90 degree turn. When he gets that, he's got it. And he said "I will get it." I'm so proud of him. As for the trainer, I found out the reason Eagle One was only getting 1/2 his pay was not because of TransAm. It was because the trainer was charging him for things that TransAm had already paid for, like hotel room, showers, etc.!! I feel for any other newby that gets him. Anyway, back to Eagle One. I am so happy for him. Not because he's my husband either. But because he's finally seeing his lifes dream come true. Even with everything that goes with this lifestyle, he loves it to peices. Will let you know more later.
Any tips for the new kid on the block?

Eagle One passed his backing and paralell parking tests yesterday! Had a whole day of saftey video and stuff today. He takes his driving test tommorrow. Then is supposed to get his truck Thursday. After which they will send him on his very first solo run. I got every emotion going right now, but he just wants to get this done. But he wants to do it right.

Take care and Good Luck
Eagle One Thanks this. -
Eagle One passed his driving test today!!!
He is now an official member of TransAm Trucking!!!!!!! Now is waiting on his truck. He said his dispatcher is going to try to make his first load close to home so he can at least spend the night at home, especially since hes been gone so long already. Im so proud of him, and its only with the lords doing. He's had his hand in this the whole way even though I couldnt see it all the time. I just keep praying the lord will give him wisdom in making decisions, make his way clear, and do what is right. For all the other newbies out there, beware, they do not teach you everything you need to know in those schools. Eagle One learned that, and knows he still has lot more learning to come. But he found that some of things they taught him in the school, like unhitching your trailers from the rigs was taught to him the wrong way. He knows the right way now, but wanted to warn others. And for them to remember the schools will take the easiest and quickest way to teach you to get you done and out and get their money. So after schooling, be prepared for alot more. Im so tickled pink for my husband, he has seen his life's dream come true today. But I expect it wont fully hit him till he gets the keys, and his first load. I also pray for his saftey everyday, and send angels to guard him. Boonie2, thank you for your support- as well as everyone elses. Everyone has been so great here. Boonie2, have your wife email my husband with her email, I will gladly talk with her and support her in spirit as best I can. Will keep you up to date.

Way to go Eagle One !!
Let us know how his first trip went,
He should have decked that trainer when he was done training..... -
His very first trip was unfinished. He got half way to Nebraska when 3 of his tires went. The tread pulled off. So they had to have someone else pick up his load of meat and finish while he got all new tires on the truck. But the next load went fine. Since his first day out, which was Friday, he's done put up 1500 miles. They are trying to keep him south so he can finally come home this friday for the weekend at least. I cant wait. But tonight he was supposed to have a load of meat to pearl, MS. by 7:00 p.m. and was supposed to call me when he got unloaded. I have not received a call yet. Im concerned because of gustav. But I give him & the truck to God-he will be safe.
