Yeah, it is tough to compete with the "sweat shop" stuff out there. But there is an old saying in business: "We have no quarrel with competetors who sell their stuff for less...they know what their product is worth."
Most experienced truckers will be willing to part with a little more cash, if the product is better. It is because they have been burned by the cheaper stuff when they were less experienced.
Would Truckers want seat covers?

Can I ask for some opinions?
If you use a fridge/cooler, do you put it on the passenger seat or behind it?
what kinds of things would you need pockets for? sunglasses, pens, notepads, silverware, keys, cell phones?
I want to make them with everything a trucker could need.
Also I did think of a visor cover that had pockets with closing flaps for glasses and pens etc. would you guys like something like that?
thanks for your help! -
I put my fridge behind the seat, I have no desire to try to dig around in in while the truck is moving and that's the only reason I can think of for having it in the seat as opposed to anywhere else in the truck. Mostly what I need to keep track of are
ens, pencils, road atlas, clipboard with logs, fuel stop guide, notebook (that I use for directions), and the folder that I use to hold bills and reciepts. I like the idea of pockets on the back of the seat for silverware, as that would be useful for me.

Between - what, I'm gonna stroll into the back of the cab while I'm driving? Stopped, it's behind the passenger seat where I can get into it easily from the bunk.
pens. Calculator. phone. camera. gum. door seals. multitool. medications. forms (pads of blanks). hand-held swifter. sunglasses. Telephone headset (I don't bluetooth yet). wallet. 6" ruler.
I need to think about silverware- right now I use plastic throwaway...
I don't think you could make a pocket for my wife....but you've got a good start going.
Visor dingus wouldn't need to have closing flaps, as far as I am concerned. Just have loops for pens (that's where I keep mine, but they tend to fall), and some way to deal with door seals.
I take that back - a sealable pocket for the calculator would be good. Add in one for the phone,too...
Truth to tell... now that I think on it- I'd probably buy a visor dingus over a seat cover, even if the seat cover had all pockets on the sides (instead of front/back) -
Not a real good idea to have the fridge on the passenger seat. I know it can be "belted in," but if it is there, then so is the temptation to get into it while driving. Also, if you have a fridge that uses a compressor to move the referigerant in it, you don't want to have it sitting anything but FLAT on it's feet, (or base.)
