They're not real strict on the age thing anymore. Now if it's a first time O/O buying an older truck the chances aren't good. But if you've owned the truck a while and it pSses their inspection it should be ok. If your a first timer I doubt they let you go much over 6 years old. Guessing 8 would be the max. And there is no governor rule. Last I heard you still had a. Voice between elog and paper. If you go paper and have a lot of screw ups or log ticket then they will force elog on you.

If the truck is older the 5yrs, you're on the quarterly inspection list instead of the six month list.
I have an 09 so I get to pass through little rock every three months, which is about how often I stop in there now.Brian Gilbert Thanks this. -

You are able to chose between E-Log and paper. If you get a paper log violation by D.O.T. you must swap to E-Log. I chose E-Log and I'm doing fine with my checks. I'm not really missing any loads or anything.
Age requirements depend on the truck. If it's an older truck recruiting will ask for pictures of the truck before you even bring it out. You cant have any air leaks or major oil leaks. The reason they do this is so we can keep our CSA record good to allow us to get green lights to bypass scales. It's a good thing.trucker91 and Retired firefighter Thank this. -
Yeah, I looked too after I said that. They use to have it on there, but their site is different from the last time I was on there. My fault....

I've been thinking about BOT on and off numerous times over the last few months. I just can't bring myself to shave my beard to work there. Maybe that will change now that he's been sued over it.

Won't really change anything. That was from 1993. And now that they require hazmat, there are quite a few plants that wont let you in unless clean shaven because of respirator fit.Brian Gilbert Thanks this.
