My weakness was the butterscotch, i discovered they tamed the hunger when it's still 1200 miles and ice to go before we can stop and eat.

Great point, bro~!! I'd elaborate, but I'm gonna catch a nap before hitting the road, and will reply to all else in the am/ oops pm.

When I pass by Cracker Barrel I buy 'candy' made with either, and I even get Horehound for cough. Herbals really work. Don't dis on the last one; it's a lil' known secret to a cough/congestion.

Yeah, we have the cinnamon sticks and licorice root at home... but sometimes I just need a "sweet" version of the above. She even used to make me "cinnamon" toothpicks, from the oils. Great to chew on....... since I quit smoking and chew many moons ago.

When I was OTR, the aforementioned were better than coffee and Monsters (they didn't exist yet, or..not to my knowledge) and the "old country store" C/Bs are often near the truck stops.

At my age, If I can do it all herbally, why not?
Heck, even Trident Cinnamon gum helps on a long day/night.

Wife has lavender candles at the ready, if/when I can't sleep. . .
(And other things, we can't mention here.)

Said I'd follow up; really guys. Look into it.

How did you ever quit smoking and dipping? I do both, I'm not a nervous driver at all, I just get bored. Somehow smoking/dipping gets jammed in there haha I've tried to quit a thousand times but my fuse gets short

Root beer barrels from the truck stops, and the cinnamon once I got home. Never any nicorette or any BS Chantrix and stuff. GUM. . . .
If you can find "beemans" gum at any TS, get a bunch. That's the licorice flavored one.
My fuse has been short all my life; was borderline ADD when they CALLED it that.
For real, the toothpicks soaked in cinnamon oil work wonders, or the actual cinnamon sticks; plus they kept my eyes open.
    Good n/' Plenty also helped.
Something about cinnamon and/or licorice did it for me.. Root Beer Barrels in a pinch. I smoked for 30 years and quit 7 ago.. never went back.
Best of luck to ya man; try those few things......I'd swear by 'em. No chemical crutches, whatsoever~!

^^^^ Thank you, and yessir, sure was. It's do-able, for sure. Mind over matter. "If I don't mind, it don't matter~!"
Off to work. . . leme know if the cinnamon or licorice works for you. Best wishes; be safe, man.
