There are 1000 job postings for the Williston ND area. I turned down one the other day, $ 25.00 winch truck driver. If you want to work, there are openings. No housing assistance now, but you can rent a nice apartment for around $ 800.00/ month.

As a side note, I am hauling rock now and did 1700 last week in 5 days. Next week looks the same. There is plenty of work if you can have some patience.
rabbiporkchop and Mecic68w Thank this. -
1700 miles or 1700 bucks? Hell yeah, if it's paying that I'd go up there for work
-
$ 1700.00. Normal week is $ 1100.00. But it is seasonal. I will be laid off in November. All of the rock hauling in North Dakota is seasonal. About 6 months work, but I am ok with that. Layoff in November and off until May or June. (I am semi-retiring from the rat race.)Last edited: Oct 1, 2016

Oil went up again today!
3 month high.rabbiporkchop and Mecic68w Thank this. -
I'm waiting till January. I went to the oilfield in Nov 2014. Good timing right? So I figure fall is bad luck for me. Plus my accident will be 3 years old by then so that should open some doors. Then if they're hiring in the middle of winter then things are really booming.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
