can someone please tell me how to disable daytime running lights on a 2007 9400i..it seems like every 6 months or so i am replacing a headlight on this thing..my guess is its because they are burning out from always being on..thank you.

but i never removed any such relay's in later trucks, i just leave things alone.
i am not certain if you remove it, you could get horse whipped, should you be in an accident, and they were not operable.localyokal Thanks this. -
Its probably the connectors at the bulbs. They are weak and a problem even on the newer Prostars. Fortunately they're cheap to replace. I've got a 2011 Prostar built in June, 2010 with the original bulbs but both connectors have been replaced.

They don't. There have been more than a few times over the years I've had this truck where, in less than good light where I've seen cross traffic start to pull out and hard brake. I wouldn't run any truck without DRLs.

Light bulb usually fail prematurely when they are vibrating all the time due to loose pot hold-downs.

open your glove box and there should be one breaker and one relay(I think)marked day time running lights. Pull these out and it will disable the DRL.
