Just my unwarranted advice. Find a lane you enjoy. You live in pa as I take it. Think Memphis area to pa. The trick will be making money to Memphis. Figure out a triangle. Don't burn yourself out running short thinking that's where the best money is. study the load board. Pa to the Midwest may suck but once in the Midwest run south, then look for your payday running home. More than one way to skin a cat. Your doing nothing wrong. Just don't burn out and enjoy your freedom.

That's a brilliant assessment for the cause of a lot of the things that have gotten high attention from the press. IMHO, nailed it.

Yeah, I did pretty well running PA/NY this week, but definitely don't want to do it on the regular. Thanks for the advice!

He is dead on except for the first paragraph. Going around taking pictures is perfectly legal. Taking a box cutter in an airplane is not.

He is testing to see if these public building security/employees and LEOs will honor their oath to protect his first admendment rights.

You can see everything from google, but just the fact he is out there taking pictures drives people mad. LEOs are chomping at the bit to take him in, and impose their authority and do, but that pesky thing called the constitution always seems to get in the way and he is always released.

There are some LEOs who are awesome guys and are friendly and tell him he can do whatever he wants on a public sidewalk and he always makes note of this is how LEOs should treat people.

But the majority are just a holes who get confused when confronted with the law and can't stand the fact that their authority is challenged. They are used to idiots who don't know the law, and they can do what ever they please.

Like answer questions, so many vids of traffic stops and people answer every question a LEO asks...it's so funny, they bust themselves because they are so stupid.

Just wanted to say again I agree with the rest of your post. I could not be a LEO in these times. BLM is a violent hate group and is condoned by our divider in chief.

Sorry for the rant, I'm a constitutionalist sick of politicians and LEOs who are above the law.

Both groups should HONOR YOUR OATH

And it is much nicer parking and showering at a T/A or Petro rather than a Pilot or J.

I am far from a pro-law individual because I think some laws are complete nonsense and the law is not always right in the "grandiose, philosophical, and ethical terms of 'RIGHT' verses 'WRONG'".

My observation was simply based on some of the claptrap that has gotten massive media coverage recently based on law enforcement's very normal reactions to odd realities. I kind of hijacked the object of this conversation and for that, I apologize.

I hate to chime in on this but cant stay quiet any longer. After retiring from 29yrs as LEO, I will offer this advice. You get what you give. If someone is an ###, they are generally treated accordingly. Treat the officer with respect, 99% of the time you get the same respect. Stand on the side of the highway trying to play lawyer and the conversation will come to an abrupt end, usually with that person in jail. They get their day in court. That day is not when the cuffs are going on or about to go on. Become defiant or resist, expect the officer to move his response to the next higher level with pepper spray taser, baton or simply hands on till they comply. It is never a pretty picture when that happens. I have the broken fingers that point in all different angles to prove it. Police are the most highly scrutinized profession in the world. A small mistake can lead to dismissal. A larger one lands them in prison for a federal civil rights violation. Think truck drivers got it bad? Think again.

As for the idiot taking pictures of government buildings, is he some type of internal affairs inspector employed by an agency to combat police abuses? No.....he is some ###&&&& just trying to stir up trouble. Plain and simple. He has an axe to grind with authority. When he becomes argumentative about his intentions, see above. If you dont like laws, I suggest not following ANY of them. Just go do what you want and have a good old time! It wont be long before you no longer have to worry about the consequences as your freedoms will be taken away and your only worry will be if the sandwich for lunch that day in prison is turkey or bologna.

You sir are the exact LEO I am referring to. I'm glad your not wearing a badge anymore, makes the rest of us safer. I can't believe...wait, yes I can believe you just typed that if a citizen "tries to play lawyer" the conversation ends, and you're going to jail. Unknowingly you just proved my EXACT point lol.

You and your cohorts should be disciplined/fined for just throwing people in jail for exercising their rights. LEOs love to detain, but they can't detain unless they're suspecting a person of a crime. So what's the easy way around the law? "I'm conducting an investigation, so you're detained and hand over your ID so I know who you are. And since you're playing lawyer with me, turn around and put your hands behind your back. Absolute BS.

And I already stated the "idiot taking pictures" is an activist, not trying to stir up trouble, but to get LEOs like your to understand and comply with the law. Except he doesnt use pepper spray, batons, and tazers. He uses the constitution which you obviously don't understand because again, your answer is to throw everybody in prison and have turkey sandwiches.

Here is a good example of what I'm talking about. You might think he's causing trouble, but he's simply an activist trying to see if LEOs will honor their oath to uphold the constitution. One LEO is like you, full of yourself and the power you have been granted, and the other is a great example of how a LEO should conduct himself.
