Depends on what your hauling or what contracts the company has. I haul ash from trash burn plants. Garranteed year round work.

If your running in an area that doesn't see much of a winter or rain... Yes you can make good money. You'll make the most if your hauling the product from the quarry that has the same name on the door.

Well I went and took a road test today. I Have never driven a dump truck in my life. I did quite well ( well enough to pass anyway lol). Went out on state routes and some back roads.
Went back and talked to hiring guy. Said he would run my mvr ( no worries there) and be in touch. I took my road test in a Kenworth T880. Pretty smooth truck. All went well. I am a pretty happy camper
