Well everyone how was work today. I am on vacation. I took my fire extinguisher to the shop needed to have a new pin holder put on it and I had another extinguisher that was due for a recharge and hydrotest so that's what I did today. Next time I get a week off next year I'm headed out west to Montana and the Dakota's and Utah time to see some of the world I've about had enough of being around here LOL!

Were down 2 drivers this week... one on vaca and the other volunteered to be removed from gainful employment by his own actions.... so were busy!

You do what local flat bed? My dad told me to look into flat bed work he thinks it's a little more specialized and might not be a bad way to go.

Yup, i run in a private fleet. We have 24' box, 24' flats with moffets, a 53' van body, (he does a daily line haul) and a 48 flat with a single screw day cab. I bounce between the 48 flat and 24 moffet as needed, and slip for the line haul guy when hes gone

Normal day for me first week after a bid is always stressfull for the guys that switched routes but since I kept mine it was smooth sailing 11 stops 700 cases. Counting down the days till vacation myself 3 more to go.

My aunt works for Palmer Donnovan and I know they have a private fleet and I see there trucks around and I always wondered about that. I know we have some guys who used to do lumber. They kind of said lumber was feast or famine is what it seems.

Cowboy did work there, but he quit working there a year or so ago by now. Haven't heard from Cowboy since the summer so I don't really know what he's up to.
