@Mike2633, do you know why I see Bob Evans trucks pulling your 50' trailers all the time? Just passed one on the way home and made me think to ask you. I know there's a plant in Michigan, but I don't remember the last time I saw a Bob Evans trailer.

I actually saw a Bob Evans trailer (didn't get a good look at the tractor, but it wasn't GFS) parked at a BBQ joint 5 min from the DV GFS DC about 3 weeks ago, very weird.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Bob Evan's is GFS's largest chain customer. There probably using our trailers to load at there plants with there proprietary goods to take back to our warehouses.truck_guy Thanks this.

Bob Evans has a private fleet based in Southern Ohio, they come to our facility frequently. Always kinda wondered about them.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
I would stay away from lumber anywhere there is winter.... let me know if you dont score frito lay, i could point you at a shop in Cleveland to look into. Dont know how they run it down there, but if its anything like mine, youd do well to put in a app and check back every 6 months till ya get in..Mike2633 Thanks this.

That would be a pretty good relationship.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Speaking of still working there what's cooking at MBM these days? We do not get the full scoop any more since Cowboy's gone.

Apparently, I missed the cracked top leaf on my pretrip, and heard the other two break when I pulled into stop 2.
I don't want to say anything bad about Penske 'road service', but I wish they would have sent someone that could actually fix something on the road. After the Penske guy spent a bunch of time looking and talking on the phone, we lifted the back of the trailer and stuck a wood block between the spring and the frame and I drove to a Penske shop.
SIX hours later I was sitting at a super busy Taco Bell, waiting until I could actually park somewhere to walk 175 cases from the boonies. Pushed three stops to tomorrow, probably be getting home at 17:00 instead of 08:00.
Fun thing is I've had a brandy new air ride trailer on three of the previous four routes.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Well this hurricane we just had made me some extra cash, I had four stops 1478 cases. One stop took 1400 cases and they didn't palletize it so I got paid today. The 1400 cases was for FEMA going to people on the coast.
