In all of this talk about faulty fuel gauges, I never saw it mentioned to just simply use the trip odometer to keep track of your fuel. Talk about simple.

 

Johnboy mentioned it in an indirect way.

 

Oh, ok. And yet there are still pages and pages about it. Come on folks, we are all grown ups here. This is not difficult to figure out by any stretch. As far as paying out of my pocket to fuel a company truck, no way is that ever going to happen. If the card doesn't work after the second try, I am on the phone.

 

@Redtwin mentioned using the odometer or the QC daily miles... but yes, the trip odometer would be super simple... thanks for keeping it simple...

 

Totally Agreed... rather simple issue to address.

and cash out of pocket was meant as a very last resort to save a load... not the first go to solution... there are several options prior to that which were all listed above... most very simple.
